OVERVIEW
Spanning more than 400 hectares in Sydney’s southwest, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan is the largest botanic garden in the country. Dedicated entirely to Australian native plants, it is home to over 4,000 species, including extensive collections of wattles, grevilleas, eucalypts, and rare and endangered flora. Rolling hills, lakes, and themed gardens make it a place to explore, picnic, and learn about the extraordinary diversity of Australia’s landscapes. Entry is free, and with its vast open spaces it’s ideal for a full-day escape from the city.

Accessible paths are located around the Visitor Centre, Connections Garden, and key attractions. Some trails are unpaved, but wheelchair-friendly routes and accessible toilets are available.

Public Transport: Limited public transport options. Catch a train to Campbelltown Station, then take a short taxi or rideshare to the garden (about 10 minutes).
Parking: Free onsite parking, with plenty of spaces available close to entrances and facilities.
